Hello and welcome to the brand new website for Langworthy Law Firm, LLC.
For those of you who do not know me, my name is Joseph “Joe” Langworthy. I am a third-generation attorney who was born and raised right here in Columbia, Missouri. Just like my paternal grandfather, father, and brother, I decided to pursue a career as a lawyer, and I am ecstatic to be opening this firm. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to own my own business – and that is finally happening!
A little bit about myself: I am a proud Hickman Kewpie (Class of ’09) and a three-time graduate from the University of Missouri (BS in Hospitality Management, 2013; MBA, emphasis in Management and Marketing, 2016; JD, Tax Law concentration, 2021). My wife, Anna, is a registered nurse at University Hospital and working on getting her doctorate to be a Family Nurse Practitioner. We have a cat, Sophie, and we love spending time serving our church (The Crossing).
My goal with this new firm is to serve clients with a variety of legal issues – mainly in the estate planning, probate administration, and business law areas. I have always enjoyed the process of sitting across the table from my clients and getting to know them, before coming up with a strategy to take care of whatever they are facing, whether that is drafting a trust or creating a new corporate entity. I envision utilizing technology to create more efficient solutions for my clients, while also streamlining communication and keeping my clients informed of the status of their matter.
