Our Team

Joe was born and raised right here in Columbia – the son of two University of Missouri graduates who simply never left town after school. He graduated from David H. Hickman High School prior to attending the University of Missouri, where he received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Hospitality Management, a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA), and a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree. Upon graduation from law school, Joe worked at several different firms here in town before opening Langworthy Law Firm, LLC, in 2024.

Joe met his wife, Anna, during his last year of law school – their first date was at 44 Canteen and that is where Joe proposed during the summer of 2021. They got married in 2022 at the Columbia Country Club (and their “Taste of Columbia” spread at the rehearsal dinner was featured in Inside Columbia magazine). Anna graduated with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in December 2025 and is starting her new job as a Nurse Practitioner with the Family Medicine Clinic at the University of Missouri’s South Providence location.

Joe and Anna adopted a baby boy in the fall of 2025 – they are loving watching him grow and learn. Joe has already begun to indoctrinate him into Mizzou fandom (see picture) and has made it a point to begin introducing him to Star Wars & Lord of the Rings movies. This new baby boy has truly been an answer to many years of prayers.

In his free time, Joe enjoys attending/watching Mizzou and St. Louis sporting events, spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, and reading (science fiction – especially Star Wars novels – is a particular favorite of his). The Langworthys are active members of the Crossing Church here in Columbia where they lead a married couples small group, and they absolutely love serving with their church community.
